REACH – a safe solution
An online service to the topic REACH, provided by the WESSLING Consulting Engineers.
REACH is the new European Union chemical regulation, with which the safe use of chemicals is to be implemented. On the 31.12.2006 the European Parliament has dismissed (in the second reading) the chemicals order draught REACH. The new legislation immediately takes effect as of 01.06.2007 in all member states. A conversion into national right is not necessary. The For this we have developed for you, whether manufacturer, importer or user of chemical materials, a catalogue of questions, with which you can acquire the future demands for your enterprise and thus arrange yourself in the appropriate market position.
Since REACH and its requirements are very complex as well as the fact that exceptions and transition periods are fixed, the demands of the REACH regulations cannot be fully documented in this online directory. The statements have therefore an orienting character. Due to the at present unknown implementation date of the regulation and possible modifications of its content, we exclude ourselves from any possible liability claims.
Thus the demands for the admission (authorising) of a material are not explicitly treated here. The goal of the admission is in the future to limit the use of materials, from which particularly high risks are to be expected. For example carcinogenic, mutagenic, persistent, bioaccumulative or toxic materials.
The use of the question catalogue is noncommittal and anonymous, as long as you would not like to transmit us your data, e.g. in the context of a request. If you wish to learn more as either a user, manufacturer or an importer of chemical materials, feel free to use the question catalogue on the following pages.
Finally: your confidential data will naturally be handled in confidence by us. Our code of practice, suitable employment agreements, technical installations and external data security check further ensure this fact.
